The first day of the County Cooler was a little windy, well till about 2pm. Gusts of 39 knots (force 8) were recorded, and at a second briefing the competitors and race officer decided to abandon and try and get 4 races in on Sunday, which is forecast to be much quieter.
That didn’t stop windsurfers young and old(er) going out and enjoying the wind, so here are a few photos from today.
Forty craft entered, 36 dinghies and 4 windsurfers, with the windsurfers fielding the largest junior fleet.
Sunday was a little wet to start with, but soon dried out, part from the squall in the forth race. Ross Ryan the race officer got off to an early start and managed to fit five handicap races in, three before lunch two after.
