Notts County Sailing Club Awards event in aid of equipment for the HANSA (Disabled sailing) Nationals 2018

The Notts County Sailing Club Awards event in aid of equipment for the HANSA (Disabled sailing) Nationals 2018 will be held on Saturday 3rd February 2018 at The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club, Cotgrave (

Accommodation is available on site with a £20 discount for all executive rooms/family rooms use the code SAILING18 when booking online. 

The format for the evening is guests will be welcomed from 6.30 pm with the meal service starting promptly at 7.30 pm with the usual toasts.  During coffee the Awards ceremony will commence with introductions by the Commodore, Adrian Jones and Vice Commodore James Logan. Followed by evening entertainment and a raffle.

Carriages will depart from 12.00

Ticket prices are Adults £27 and Juniors (under 15) £15

First Course
S1   V Tomato & Basil soup, served with warm petit pan

S2   Ham Hock Terrine, with homemade piccalilli
S3   V Deep fried brie, with cranberry apple chutney

Main course
M1 Chicken Breast, stuffed with cheese, wrapped in smoked bacon, seasonal vegetables and creamy tarragon sauce.

M2 Beef Bourguignon, in red wine sauce with wild mushrooms, smoked bacon, pearl onions and fresh herbs.
M3 Poached Fillet of Hake, sautéed samphire , caper butter sauce
M4 V Mushroom & Braised Leek Wellington, vegetable sauce

All mains served with roast potatoes & seasonal vegetables

D1 Warm Chocolate Brownie, Vanilla pool ice cream & honeycomb

D2 Lemon Posset, served with Shortbread & Raspberries
D3 Gelato, a selection of ice creams with chocolate cookie

Tea and Coffee

Funds raised at the event will go towards the equipment we need to run the HANSA (Access disabled boats) National Championships which we are hosting in July 2018. All donations will be gratefully received, we are in the planning stages and are looking at specialist equipment & safety craft. The funds will also help with Sailability generally at the club.
