Winter series


Thanks to all that have responded to our recent email regarding a winter race series. Forty Five members, including ten juniors, have confirmed an interest in taking part and confirmed they are willing to undertake race team and /or safety duties. The majority had a preference for the series to be held on a Sunday.

At present the series is suspended due to COVID and being at Tier 3.

Should the series restart it will be run along similar lines to the current autumn series but with three starts, Windsurfer, Junior, and Handicap at three minute intervals with two races back to back.

As set out in the original email enquiry (sent to everyone on 6th Oct – please let us know if you need a copy), duties will be allocated on SCM by our duty secretary along the lines of your reply with regard to the duties you are willing and able undertake, so please keep an eye out for duty allocations. If you are now unable to undertake the allocated duty due to a change in personal circumstances please endeavour to organise a swap with another racing member.

For those that have not already responded to the email issued on the 6th October but still wish to take part in the series could you please respond ASAP, so that appropriate duties may be allocated and your interest in racing recorded?

In addition to the above a further Saturday series may be organised by our junior racers if sufficient duty cover can be organised.
