Discover Sailing 2022 on 21st May was a huge success.

John Sears spent a huge amount of time planning the event, and Glyn Ritchie in particular ensured the sailing went smoothly with the help of many instructors. 

With Sarah Read and Fiona Grayton in charge of reception the 200+ visitors were registered efficiently, with many getting out on the water.  

There were around 50 club members pulling together to give the visitors a great experience, thanks to everyone who helped in the set up, on the day and take down.

The day started with 34 Saturday club participants enjoying the water. Then after a slightly slow start many newcomers tried sailing for the first time.

Meanwhile on the balcony the membership team (headed by Kathryn) were busy signing up people, with 7 new members on the day.

The cake stall did brisk buisiness for Nottinghamshire Mind, selling out of cakes and raising nearly £500 for this excellent cause. Mind was also present with a stand near reception.
